Gastrointestinal motility studies

Specific advanced devices are used to assess the motility in the gastrointestinal tract and strength and proper synchronization of the digestive muscles. Motility studies include esophageal and anorectal manometry. We also offer assessment of esophageal acidity in patients with reflux disorders (24 hour pH impedance).

Anorectal manometry is also performed to assess contractions of the muscles  on the rectum and around the anus, thus type of study can aid I the management of several conditions such as chronic constipation and rectal prolapse.
